Cocoa Liquor Melting And Transfer System
We have recently completed a successful overhaul of the cocoa liquor production facility at Barry Callebaut UK, the world’s leading manufacturer of quality chocolate and cocoa products. The project involved the de-commissioning of the existing cocoa bean processing and roasting facility and replacing with a new state-of-the-art cocoa liquor melting plant, tank farm controls and new control software for a pigged transfer system. Our involvement was to de-commission and remove the existing electrical controls, supply two new control panels including two Siemens S7-1500 series PLC’s, a new WinCC SCADA HMI station, complete the electrical installation, design and supply the control software, design and supply the HMI/SCADA software and commission the system. The project was executed to tight deadlines and successfully installed, commissioned and handed over to the complete satisfaction of the customer.
