BASF System Upgrade

We have just finished a full system upgrade at a BASF plant near Manchester UK, upgrading all server and client PC's, PLC, WinCC & Intouch SCADA, PM-Control recipe and scheduling software and PM-Quality reporting software. We have increased system resilience by fitting a new network, UPS’s, backup drives and secure VPN remote access hardware to provide remote support for the whole system. Additional WinCC and Intouch SCADA engineering stations were installed to increase operator productivity. All upgrades were fully tested in-house before a smooth installation on the customers site with zero impact on production.
